SUMMARY

Unique Logistics International, Inc. (OTCMKTS: UNQL) (the “Company”), is a rapidly growing global logistics and freight forwarding company looking to fill a key finance leadership position. A Corporate Controller will be accountable for managing UNQL Accounting, Financial and Management Reporting Functions. This position requires an individual with strong business, financial and accounting skills, business acumen, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner successfully with internal and external stakeholders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and controlling the organization's accounting and financial records.
  • Assist the CFO in all aspects of financial and management reporting, consolidated financial statements and SEC reporting.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable/ Credit Control functions
  • Ensure timely and accurate month end close, review, and prepare reconciliations, journal entries, maintain General and Subsidiary ledgers.
  • Develop and maintain effective accounting policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and monitor internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting.
  • Research and implement accounting standards and prepare memos when required.
  • Work closely with bankers, lenders, investors, auditors/accountants, and tax advisors.
  • Develop accounting personnel.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate Buy and Sell rates as provided by Key Account Manager (KAM), Account Owner and/or Operations Managers
  • Post AP and AR in the Company’s internal system, CargoWise1
  • Ensure Billing Service Level Agreement (SLA) is met
  • Ensure timely Cost posting and subsequent Job Closing SLA is met
  • Handle invoice disputes with vendors
  • Provide assistance to Branch Manager in Profit and Loss review

Import Operations – Job Costing Specialist: Apply Now

(OTCMKTS: UNQL) (the “Company”), is a rapidly growing global logistics and freight forwarding company looking to fill an Import Pricing Coordinator position.  The Import Pricing Coordinator position provides quotes for Import Air/Ocean rates to existing and potential customers. This position works in a fast-paced environment and requires strong MS Excel skills, the ability to manage tight deadlines, a positive “can do” attitude, and excellent customer service skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quote import air/ocean (FCL and LCL0 and destination rates to existing and potential customers
  • Coordinate with Global Offices and Procurement teams to respond to Tender Requests
  • Source and price rates to ensure optimal gross margins on shipments
  • Provide support to Sales, KAM and Operations teams
  • Update rate matrix
  • Negotiate rates and maintain vendor relationships
  • Monitor bookings to ensure they are routed correctly and/or as they were quoted
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
  • Audit air/ocean import files for accuracy as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of air and ocean pricing in multiple trade lanes

  • Proficiency in MS programs, with an emphasis in advanced functions of Excel (must know vlookups, indexes, Pivot tables)

  • Determine efficient and cost-effective methods of moving goods from one location to another
  • Reserve necessary space on ships, aircraft, trains, or trucks
  • Arrange delivery or storage of goods at destinations
  • Consolidate loads with a common destination to reduce costs to individual shippers
  • Effectively communicate to customers of factors such as shipping options, timelines, transfers, or regulations affecting shipments
